Φ-Bounded Solutions to Nonlinear Difference Equations with Advanced Arguments

In this work we give sufficient conditions in order that the difference equation with advanced arguments x(n + 1) = A(n)x(n) + B(n)x(σ1(n)) + f(n, x(n), x(σ2(n))), σi(n) ≥ n + 1 has Φ−bounded solutions in the space `Φ of Φ−bounded sequences, are given.

Oscillations of Advanced Difference Equations with Variable Arguments

Consider the first-order advanced difference equation of the form ∇x(n)− p(n)x(μ(n)) = 0, n ≥ 1, [∆x(n)− p(n)x(ν(n)) = 0, n ≥ 0], where ∇ denotes the backward difference operator ∇x(n) = x(n) − x(n − 1), ∆ denotes the forward difference operator ∆x(n) = x(n+ 1)− x(n), {p(n)} is a sequence of nonnegative real numbers, and {μ(n)} [{ν(n)}] is a sequence of positive integers such that μ(n) ≥ n+ 1 f...

Nonlinear Difference Equations with Periodic Solutions

For ten nonlinear difference equations with only p-periodic solutions it is shown that the characteristic polynomials of the corresponding linearized equations about the equilibria have only zeros which are p-th roots of unity. An analogous result is shown concerning two systems of such equations. Five counterexamples show that the reverse is not true. Some remarks are made concerning equations...

Bounded Solutions: Differential Vs Difference Equations

We compare some recent results on bounded solutions (over Z) of nonlinear difference equations and systems to corresponding ones for nonlinear differential equations. Bounded input-bounded output problems, lower and upper solutions, Landesman-Lazer conditions and guiding functions techniques are considered.
